first sale!

I had my very first sale on Etsy today!  Yippie!  Okay, so it was my mom, but still, it is worth celebrating!  It is nice to use her as my guinea pig, so I can see how it all works with no pressure.  So far, it is pretty straightforward.

mother's day

Happy Mother's Day to all moms out there.  I have been blessed with the worlds' best mom!  I really could not ask for a better mother.  Thank you mom!

I am also so fortunate to have the best mother in law and step mother in law!  I so lucked out in the in-law department.

On top of all that luck and good fortune I have the honor of being the mother of my three wonderful sons. Thank you boys for making every day special!

agencies

Oh boy, am I having a hard time picking an adoption agency.  I think I have picked one I like and then another one pops up that I am interested in.  There are so many different options and pros and cons to each of them.  I wish I could just decide on one and be done with it.  I have a feeling that I will not actually choose one until we are very close to beginning the adoption.  However, with May half way over that is now only a few months away!

etsy

I have set up an Etsy shop to help fund Mae's adoption.  Mostly, I will be selling little flowers and pieces of jewelry I make.  I am really excited about it, but nervous too.  There are still so many little details to work out and it can be intimidating to see all of the amazing things people make on Etsy. Hopefully, I will have it up and running by the end of the month.

may day

Life is just chugging along here in Dallas.  It is hard to believe that the school year is almost over.  It always seems especially hectic this time of year, but soon we will be enjoying long lazy summer days.  We don't have too much planned so far for the summer besides our two trips.  Lots of time at the pool and perhaps a camp or two.

I am getting anxious for the fall when we begin our adoption.  It still seems so far away, but I know it will fly by.  I am going to try to really enjoy this summer before the madness of adoption paperwork hits us like a ton of bricks.
